Biltmore Hotel Demolition

In the mid/late '70s one of my roommates was a fair amateur photographer. I recently found a set of 8x10s he gave me. I scanned them and posted them on Flickr. How many of the buildings can you see that are no longer there? The Patio mexican restaurant? Also, notice the sign changing messages on top of Citizen's Tower.

Great photos. I don't ever remember going into the place. An "early" channel 5 weatherman (retired Air Force) bought a staircase from the place before demo.

I stayed there once for a few nights for a school function. The place was kinda unremarkable inside. Great pics..

Oh the memories. I was standing just off to the left out of the photo range when the Biltmore came down.

Thanks for posting. I was there on the day of the demolition. I was on the Northside near Park. Wonder if anyone has some interior shots of the hotel?
