OKLAHOMA CITY – The medical testing provider Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma has plans to build a new $20 million, 70,000-square-foot facility near Interstate 235 and Britton Road to house the company’s clinical lab and administrative offices. The laboratory will process about 16,000 blood tests a night for doctors and hospitals across the state, delivered by a ...

Or even located up on Memorial with the slew of Hospitals/medical/Doctor Offices....

We have a few places where we have these medical corridors happening so hard to find a really bad location for it (unless they were to be a tenant in the Outlet Mall or something)

Well there is beginning to be a concentration of medical stuff around Britton and Broadway, it's just very infantile..not on the same level as the OUHSC or even West Memorial.

Seems like it wasn't that long a go that Mercy Hospital Complex was the only thing out there but it has exploded in that area in the past couple of years

Actually, the Health Sciences Center doesn't use DLO for the most part, except for some of their patients with private insurance. They have their own laboratory facility. I'm not really sure why they don't build between Baptist and Mercy, to be located more closely to those two hospitals and Deaconess, as I believe a lot of the outpatient lab in the city goes to DLO.

That's a relatively central location, and DLO gets used ALLLL over the metro. Doctor's offices and clinics use them too. Heck, even places like Rennaisance in MWC use them and there's a lab at MRMC. This way, they don't have as far to travel for any direction.

It's not as central as they could be, but I bet that land is cheaper than the land in the medical district.

And like Spartan said, there is stuff up there already. Just a few examples are The American Cancer Society and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma, both of which have been there for like decades.
