Ooooooooooooooooo that's a good one! Prunette and I almost always tip BUT
if the service is exceptional they get a better tip.

The thing I absolutely abhor is when the waitress or waiter keeps the change
because they assume we don't want it, or worse, that they think they
deserve it. It doesn't matter if it's 3 cents, bring ALL of the change back. The
manager will get an earful every time it happens. It's bad business.

That a certain four letter word and any connotations therein is vulgar and not to be used in mixed-company, much less in public, and never, never, ever in front of one or both parents.

    1) The whole point in making the observation that I did was the fact Christmas and Easter have lost their religious/spiritual meanings.

    2) That too many kids do not appreciate presents of any kind because the mentality has become one where they feel these are things they are entitled too. Things they should get, not earn or miss out on. And this is every day things not just holidays or birthdays.......

I guess I should have worded the original posting differently to have avoided the religious implications. The "Good Friday" story was to show how far things have slipped. Not that it was "Good Friday!!" It's probably true about the July 4Th holiday..
Memorial Day!!! It's just a three-day weekend for most. And another sale item (wreathes) for corporate America. How many remember it as Decoration Day and was to honor the war dead.

    Forget the religion............

These are things that are passing us by now and soon will have no significance......

I'm sorry!! I forget how many of you are grant-grads and need things spelled out and a picture drawn...
Spelled and drawn out? That's funny! from a CHHS grad.

This reminds me of one of the things "the old folks used to say" better to post it there than here.

It was there in 2003, we stopped at it on the way back from Chicago.

Here's a post on the Oklahoma Modern Blog - McDonalds Moderne on January 25, 2008. He does mention the bridge in Stroud being torn down.

For several years my wife and I went to Springfield MO. for bowling tourney. The return trip always included bad weather once entering OK. We stopped there many times because of heavy rain. Twice for tornado warnings. Why everyone stopped there because of tornado's I will never know. Kind of like stopping beneath underpasses. That was/is still done by many and I say it was a precaution given by somebody of authority years ago. Like opening the windows of your home. Or was it close your windows?

Yep, the McDonald's is still there, but no longer the "Biggest McDonald's In The World" as it was once billed.

Was not sure where to post this.

Pant stretchers are still being manufactured.

Many on ebay along with sock stretchers.

Why would you need sock stretchers?
