I think it's by Sooner Road heading towards Crossroads, theres a massive building before you get to the bud plant on the south side of the road. Major apologies if it's been addressed but I searched and didn't find much.

Maybe you're talking about the Quad Graphics plant. It's massive.

Edit: Oh wait, you said south side of 240... never mind.

Sorry I guess I could have mentioned it's currently being built right now.

If you are talking about the one at Tecumseh Road it is a new Oklahoma Army National Guard armory. Part of the federally mandated Base Realignment and Closure resulted in the National Guard closing many small armories and consolidating several units into large facilities like that one. I think there will be up to seven such buildings throughout Oklahoma.

if you're talking about I-240, it has to be the new heart hospital. tecumseh doesn't come anywhere near 240.

Yeah, it's a hospital. I lived right by it up until recently.

Figures too. About the time they drop something like that right by my house...Something that will attract places to eat and whatnot...Yeah...That's when I move.

    *facepalm*

Heat Hospital.....we were really close to have a new shopping center with a few restaurants too, but NorthStar killed the project "due to the economy". It was going to be a really nice place too from the renderings I saw. It was going to be on the east side of sooner...so sort of opposite of the hospital.

Seem's like an incredibly odd position for a Heart Hospital.

I agree. A hospital out in the middle of nowhere. A hospital where patients can have a nice landfill view from the windows.

Well there wasn't much up near Mercy when they built it...what in the 70's. Now they are building all kinds of crap up there. The population is much more dense around 240 and Sooner than it was when Mercy moved. Who knows, as the population continues to increase around 240, you might see all kinds of things pop up. Right now land is cheap and abundant in the area....now is the time to buy. Think about how many new neighborhoods have popped up in the last 10 years....even the last 5!

bombermwc - I was going to bring up Mercy. When it was built it was on a 2 lane road.

The location reason is because it is partnered between MWC Mds, Norman Mds, and OkHeart Mds. They have a huge patient population in those areas and currently they have to drive to the Mercy campus for their appointments...
