Hey, 78, if your uncle had a car lot on 29th, I'll bet you knew the Overbays. Johnny, the son of the owner graduated in 62 or 63, has a custom rod shop out in Del City. He had a '40 Ford Coupe while he was at Grant. I don't remember what kind of motor it had in it but I got it up to 110 once while passing a car on a 2 lane bridge. And we both lived to tell about it.

Hey '60...Overbay is still in the Hot Rod business....last time I heard he was still making Louvre's for car hoods etc. Graduated in '62....good guy....

I dropped in on him about a year ago. We had a terrific visit and the shop was busy. His livelyhood is based on nostalgia. We ought to get him in on our nostalgia threads; tell him it is good for business.

Payless Cashways was actually a franchise type deal, the stores with the same logos and setup were Hugh M. Woods stores in the Denver area.

Does anyone on here besides me remember eating at the ORIGINAL Coney Island next door south of the STATE Theater on South Robinson just before you got to main? The bus stop was right out in front of it. It was always loaded with Sailors and you ate at desk like you had in school!!
