Thread: Sharing my Sunday stroll

  1. Default Sharing my Sunday stroll

I spent Sunday with the old Canon and took a stroll from Byars in Bricktown to Walker and Main.

Made my way up the parking garage by the ballpark. Got a nice skyline photo.

Took one of the most famous alley in the world and the Oklahoma Hardware building.

Noticed that the Bricktown water tower and clock is under reconstruction:

    Love the Colcord.

Things are really looking up for this city.

I love this city. The blend of the old and the new and the improved. Something else I notced on my stroll is that there isn't alot of garbage that is associated with the downtowns of other cities. It also isn't overrun with graffitti. I never got approached by panhandlers even though there are some out there.

    It was a good stroll.

Panhandlers don't work on Sundays. Especially after the Sooners lose.

What kind of camera do you use? Did you touchup any images?

I use a Canon XTI and do basic postprocessing.

    HDR, or am I wrong?

Excellent work. That's the best shot I've seen of the skyline view from atop the Power Alley garage.

I really like the Colcord shot too.

They are not HDR, although I do have an HDR version that I worked on of the Oklahoma Hardware building.

Thank you. I also did some panoramas from atop there that came out pretty well. I have some blending cleanup to do on those, I may post those here as well.

Do you have those in an online photo album?

  11. Default Re: Sharing my Sunday stroll

I think you should post these on Skyscraper. com...it's always nice to let those who have never been here see some great shots of our skyline.

I still love that last pic.. did you lie down on the sidewalk, lol

Those are great shots. It would be interesting for you to re-take that first shot in a few years when the Devon tower is finished.

I have a site that I use for artistic photos, but this is the only place I have uploaded these.

    It's an OKCTalk exclusive! haha

I'll add a few more here when I get the time.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
