    Default google maps

Anyone know when they might update OKC on google maps? OKC is growing so fast thats its very out of date.

I read somewhere that they try to update every 3-5 years. Obviously that's not happening because the pictures of OKC are from 2002-2003. It seems to me that they are focusing on expanding their Street View coverage, so I wouldn't expect updated satellte imagery anytime soon.

Did anyone notice their street view video vehicle rolling through town? I can't remember if I saw it this spring or last summer, but the logo plastered VW bug was rolling through downtown. I HEART GOOGLE STREET VIEW!

I just looked on Google Earth (checking out the coast where Gustav may hit) and realized that by zooming in all the way it shows when that area was photographed. The LA. coast was updated between 2004 and 2006. Most all of OKC including Bricktown was taken in 2002. Amazing what wasn't there just 6 years ago. So maybe it wont be much longer before they update Google maps (if they're still working on a 3-5 year pace). That said I hope they continue with street view..I love it.
