Default Glass panels on the news desks

What's below them? Monitors? And what ARE the anchors looking at (or doing with them) if so?

The center panel in the KOCO desk is a combo. Computer / Monitor. This makes it easy for anchors to check the latest script, and read the wires during breaking news, or election situations.

I heard that Linda Cavanaugh manages her e-bay store during commercials.

I heard they are usually watching cartoons, pornos, playing Xbox 360 or Placing bets on who will be the first female anchor or reporter to go topless on the air.

What else would they be doing, it is not like any news source is real news any more. All the news we read, view and here is over hyped sensationalized crap that is designed to sell advertising.

Heres how I see it. Most local journalists care, believe it or not. Problem is the average viewer is of the Jerry Springer, Maury Povich mentality. they want Paris Hilton and fluff. They want to be entertained not informed.

The stations realize that this comprises alot of their viewers and cater to that mentality.

The people that dont care about that are smart enough to pick through it and figure out what matters. I dont think there is a one stop place for good relevant news. It has to be pulled in from many different sources.

I won an item from Linda Cavanaugh during a newscast and she was kind enough to send me an invoice during a commercial break!

I'm glad I didn't ask if the anchors had webcams!

All this time I thought she was watching Wava with Nu Sound commercials during the breaks.

Wava and NuSound is a bunch of hypocrite! For years, they don't spend a cent on closed captioning. They are advertising devices for those with hearing loss! How can they expect one to hear what they are saying?! OMG
