Seattle, Oklahoma?

Is there an area, a town...anything in Oklahoma named "Seattle"? I noticed a death notice in the paper this morning, where they list by city. When I Google Seattle and Oklahoma, all I get is Sonics/Thunder stuff. I looked on the funeral home website but it didn't have any info. Just curious.....Thanks.

Never heard of a Seattle, Ok. You might try looking up the name in the Seattle, Wa. area papers and see if anything comes up there.

Not sure where the "Seattle" came from, but the funeral is being handled by Vondel Smith Mortuary, South Lakes, and the man will be buried at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.

There is a book called Place Names of Oklahoma. It chronicles names of towns and gives hitory on existing as weel as towns that arent around anymore
