me me!

I saw you guys at the fair this weekend but couldn't make it over to say hello. I volunteer so I've been there every day!

The Rock Band Tour is a lot of fun if anyone hasn't been over there yet.

3. Default Re: Rock Band Two?

OH! I wish I would have found you! It was so fun.....

4. Default Re: Rock Band Two?

Did they fix the delay on the mic and drum solos?

5. Default Re: Rock Band Two?

If you're talking about the personal game, there is an option to adjust or synch ...but we didn't have any problems. I got quite a few 95-100% singing so I didn't notice anything. My sons played bass, drums and guitar and both got near 100% on every song so we didn't notice anything on those instruments.

Or are you talking about the Fair Rock Band Tour?

They are usually really good about fixing any problems though, I've been really happy with it.

6. Default Re: Rock Band Two?

Only during the solos, on RB1 on the PS3, there was an AWFUL and pretty much unfixable delay during solos for the drums and mic. Really disappointing.

7. Default Re: Rock Band Two?

Oh, yes, that would be very disappointing. We have XBOX 360 so I've never noticed it.

8. Default Re: Rock Band Two?

The drum delay was so bad that if you tried to solo on the beat, you'd throw off the other players.

9. Default Re: Rock Band Two?

I'm so loving this game... I'm whining incessantly to my kids to play with me..lol .. how the tables have turned..

I'm feeling the Bass.. I used to only sing and do the occasional drums.. but now I'm rocking the guitar and bass ... how fun is that?

I highly recommend this game for families.. I can't tell you how bonding and fun it is to have the entire family on Tour and playing our hearts out to earn fans and cash to buy our rock duds... ( yeah, you get to create your own character complete with accessories, instruments etc etc ) it's a blast.

Seriously, I can't think of another game we've all enjoyed playing together as a family so much ( other than Halo ). Scrabble just doesn't get the adrenaline going for us.

Teens can be sort of hard to find a common bond with.... this is so perfect.... they can't really complain when their parents know and can play their music .. I do a mean rendition of Disturbed....lol, Indestructible.. and my personal favorite .. Down with the Sickness... ha.ha..

But I also love that they are hearing and appreciating a lot of music that I love too! I've always loved Rock so there are lots of songs that I know on Rock Band 1 and 2 and they think that's pretty cool.

If you haven't already, parents, go get this game.. your family will really enjoy it, especially if you get in there and play with them.. they love it.

I meant to tell you that I picked up RB2 about a month ago. I play it nearly every day. I've taught my daughter the basics on the drums and she's awesome at it. Her favorite song to play is Rush's YYZ! (on Easy)

I've resigned myself to the guitar because I can't get her off the drums. I'm okay, but that damned orange button kills me every time so I just stay on the Medium setting. My son plays the drums and sometimes sings if he's in the mood, but he'd just rather be outside playing (he's got so much energy, it's probably a good thing).

I've bought a few additional songs, but I was disappointed that there was no Van Halen. I was hoping for some good 'ole Hot for Teacher or Panama.

One of these days I'll get around to renewing my Gold membership and I'll try it online.

17. Default Re: Rock Band Two?

No Way!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!

I've managed to advance to Hard on Bass ( I struggle so much with the orange button too! I'm not sure I'll ever get to that level on the guitar!)

My son tells me to try not to reach but to slide my entire hand over so I've been trying that, but then I get lost trying to find my way back! lol

We played 15 songs on Hard last night

( He's on expert - little turd) .... .

Honestly, I can't think of a lot better or fun things for a teenage son and a mom to have in common.

When your drums go out, don't despair, I got a new set at Amazon for only $29 bucks with Free Shipping.

I've played everyone of these as least a few times, either singing, guitar or bass:

My life would be complete if they added Tom Petty and Guns and Roses.. and yeah, Van Halen is mandatory!

Wow, I've never seen a list of them all. That should keep us busy for a while.

I wish they'd make "Orchestra" or "Jazz Band"
My grandson has "Rock Band". So far I haven't recognized a single tune.

Really? Tommy by The Who? You don't recognize that?

Jazz band might be interesting or Country & Western Band. Maybe a plastic "Steel guitar". LOL.

Karried,
I was excited when I saw Shackler's Revenge and was hoping there'd be more GnR to come, but it doesn't look like it going to happen. But I did get the whole Rush track pack (my favorite band).

I recently read an article that Warner Music was rethinking their licensing for games like this (for the worse). Enjoy it while you can.
Why the Music Industry Hates Guitar Hero
The success of these games is good news for the music biz. They're breathing new life into old bands (Weezer, anyone?) and helping popularize new ones. They're even becoming a significant distribution outlet for new releases. So the record labels ought to be ecstatic, right? Nope. They're whining over licensing fees.
"The amount being paid to the music industry, even though [these] games are entirely dependent on the content we own and control, is far too small," Warner Music Group CEO Edgar Bronfman told analysts last summer. The money Warner receives for the use of its songs is "paltry," he said, and if the gamemakers don't pony up more cash, "we will not license to those games." In response, Rock Band publisher MTV Games is now boycotting Warner artists, according to a source close to the negotiations.
On a slightly different subject, my wife and I were talking about how my daughter really likes to play the drums and how she (and my son too) might enjoy a starter set. I got me thinking about how, if these games were more realistic, it would be a great learning tool for the real instruments. On that subject, I stumbled across this video. I think it's a great idea and would be even better if somehow this could be integrated into a console title rather than just PC/Mac.

I haven't heard anything by the Who, only head banging type stuff.

By the way, I don't remember a song called Tommy on the album Tommy.
Did you mean a song from Tommy?

LOL, So you DO recognize them! Yeah, there's a song from Tommy included with the game - Pinball Wizard.

I played in cover bands in the 60's & 70's. Now it's just Straight Ahead
Jazz and Orchestral music, because that's what pays! Occasionally I'll play
R & B or Contemporary Christian.

I have a friend who has Guitar Hero and if I hear Free Bird one more time
I'm going to shoot him.
