You know, as I look at this so called 'tank' Thunder team, got a bad taste in my mouth. Where in the hell is Dre; if you really wanted to 'tank' you should have kept Dre...

Don't fear, the tank is coming. Their upcoming schedule is brutal. I think they're going to need to move George Hill by the deadline in order to make this team worse thus restoring the tank. It's very early but my gut tells me Houston (14th in West) and OKC (8th in West) are going to flip-flop before it's all said and done. Pretty sure we own the HOU pick for next year but it's top 4 protected so we need them to suck slightly less lol.

Maybe tank is the wrong term to use. Coach Dag and the players are trying to win. The "tank" moves will all come from Presti.

What the Thunder are trying to do is lose while developing young guys who have potential. That fits the bill for everyone that gets minutes except for Hill and Horford, who are available for trade. Muscala kind of has to play because I don't think Brown (2 way contract) is ready for real minutes.

Dre could definitely help this team lose. He just doesn't fit the plan.

I'm not sure Houston is going anywhere. They're a trainwreck.

I'm starting to see that after John Wall/James Harden's post-game interview. I think they may be in some trouble but it is still really early.

Breaking news is that Harden will not be playing again for Houston. He'll sit until traded.

trade should come very soon to either the NETS or 76ers

Radio know it alls favor the 76ers. Many don't seem to think the Nets can put an acceptable package together.

So much for experts. It's reported that it's the Nets.

Yeah. The Rockets got mainly future picks. They shouldn't be very good.

I don't know, John Wall and VO could be a pretty good combo.

And they could make other moves too. But my guess is they may go into rebuilding mode.

The Rockets have no incentive to lose because OKC has control of their picks. The Rockets will try to win, but as currently constructed, I don't see them as anything more than a .500 team. Definitely could be worse as they're relying on three players coming off major injuries in Boogie, Dipo, and Wall.

The pick situation is pretty hard to follow. But people smarter than me have already figured out that these latest moves means OKC gets the two best first round picks of this upcoming draft from OKC, Miami, Houston, Brooklyn. Houston's is top 4 protected, though.

But this is basically an ideal situation, Presti is madman. He is on a mission to construct the next era drafted super team that he was forced to trade away in 2012.

Does OKC control the picks Houston just got for Hardin?

I doubt it, I think our Houston pick was from the Westbrook trade.

It is hard to follow and, unfortunately, this information was incorrectly spread in some articles. OKC gets best of Miami/Houston (top 4 protected)/OKC pick. OKC cannot not get any Brooklyn pick.

But with so many first round picks for Houston in the next 4 years doesn't it make sense for them to suck? The NBA system is confusing.

It makes sense for the Thunder to suck because they have their own picks. So, being bad = good picks. Houston and Brooklyn don’t have their own picks. So being bad = nothing.
