Preseason Game 1

So anyone want to make a prediction on if we just saw a preview of what's to come? Stay in the game right up until the 4th quarter only to lose by a few points because we crapped out..... Sounds pretty much like the Sonics huh?

Of course we knew, just beacuse they changed names, we weren't getting a whole new team....but come on. Even in a preseason game you can't play all 4 quarters? That was the problem the whole time in Seattle.....gotta play the whole game boys.

bombermwc, I hope not, but lets' consider it's a preseason game and the Durant and other key players weren't playing. Keep that in mind, PLUS you know LOUD CITY is going to get behind this team and really pump them up with encouragement (they weren't getting in Seattle).

Anybody else have a pretty crappy picture on KSBI? On my HDTV that game was so fuzzy it was ridiculous. Hope they have all their HD equipment before the season starts.

I'm excited for the season. It was a good game. Too bad the Thunder crapped out there at the end. The broadcast was very crummy looking on my HD set as well. Hopefully they'll broadcast in HD. And hopefully Dish Network picks up the HD signal.

"Loud City" is unique. I certainly don't dislike it. Maybe there could be more creative names though, I dunno...

Loud City was the name of the upper deck during the Hornets games. I am wondering if that name is owned by the Hornets and the Thunder might legally have to come up with another name altogether.

There will be another name. Loud City is 'meh' at best.

I kinda liked Loud City. But maybe I liked the concept of naming the "cheap seats" so that they kind of had an air of exclusivity. Can you think of a better name? Not trying to be flipppant just honestly asking if there is a better name out there. Maybe something to tie in with Thunder. I am assuming most people will start calling the Ford Center the Thunderdome or something similar. What goes with that theme?

I think it's too early to make predictions. Agree that this game resembled what we saw on court last year. Westbrook looks like he has an upside, and Durant will look better than in this game. At least they were in the game until the end. After the first quarter I was wondering if we were going to be blown out like the 'Wolves did in their last game. If we can stay in the game, they'll be fun to watch even if we lose most of our games.

Hey, I know we're going to be super-fans and be all supportive of them, even if they really stink. But the team does have a lot of the same players still, so we just can't expect a miracle....although that would be very cool.

Maybe we'll have to wait till the game in Tulsa to really see the first showing of the Thunder?? Not quite to OKC yet, but the next best thing, you know.
