Children’s Learning Adventure (Daycare)

You too can send your kids here for a small tuition of the first born child. It's gotta be 2k+ a month per kid in order to support that amount of fluff crap.

It looks like it would be really fun and all, but the first question I would have is, with that amount of stimulation and finger-tip activity, how does that affect the creativity/attention-span of the child later. I've heard time and time again that studies have shown that children with an over abundance of stimuli and toys are more likely to be less creative later in life. From what I hear, it's because the toys all have a purpose, so they never have to make a toy serve a purpose it wasn't intended for, ie never forced to create because there's always something made for that. And that thing is at their finger tips so they don't have to wait for it, it's just there, so there's a lack of patience as well.

Honestly, it looks like an environment more suited to a vacation than a good learning environment. Try getting 4 year olds in a room that full of "stuff" to sit still for a learning activity. I might want to give myself a vacation there though....woohooo! But I don't think the words over-the-top even cover this one.

Id like to see the studies of children later in life who were just given an ipad to play on. I see this happen too much now and that concerns me. To me social interaction is a huge key for the development of a child and for success later on.

Just by doing a little research on the place it doesn't seem like they throw your child in a room with toys and say have fun. Its more of activities and projects/problem solving through toys and other means. A little over the top? Sure. Kids don't want to go to some boring old building. My aunt sent her child to one in Arizona. He loves it and has two set of friends now. She said at the time it was around $350 a week. Might be more now. No one is saying its cheep, but I feel you might be underestimating the place

Infants are 280ish a week
toddlers are 265ish a week
B4 and after school is 170ish a week

Not near as bad as I had pondered it might be.

I paid 200 a week for twin toddlers at a 3 star facility. Was it the best place ever? no. But to pay double!!!!! H NO!

$289 a week for 4 year old, 5 days a week. This includes two meals and snacks. It's certainly not for everyone, but it's not the most expensive either.

If I needed, I could drop at 6am and pick up at 6:30 pm. But we are there full time, I'm not sure how part time or before school/after school works.

Oh for sure, we understand it's certainly an investment in childcare, but given what we get out of it.
