    Re: Bike-ability in OKC

They just finished adding bike lane designations from the bike lanes on NW 39th down Youngs to NW 50th as well.

It's always that way after 9 or 10 PM. I've stopped going to WinCo for that reason combined with no debit cards. I'll gladly spend my money where it's easiest.

Re: Rude and crude: temporary or permanent?

I try to catch you outside but timing is never there. One of these days! :)

I wasn't going to chime in on this thread, but I don't think it's necessarily BECAUSE of social media, but social...

Re: February 2024 - General Weather Discussion

On the contrary, those of us with common sense know that it can (and will probably) change and don't always take the hype at face value, so what does it matter? It's better to be weather aware just...

Re: Biggest traffic issues in the metro...

This whole interchange is the most maddening. It doesn't help that people read the sign that says "LANE ENDS - MERGE RIGHT" and they merge left, then they get to the end and their lane ends and they...

Re: Biggest traffic issues in the metro...

I work on the service road and that stoplight is maddening no matter if you're coming off of SW 5th or down MacArthur. They come out and re-time it often and within a couple weeks it's off again.

I'm sorry to hear that. Their food was always good and consistent, and the elderly man who ran it was super nice. Last time we stopped in for lunch he said he was having trouble keeping it going,...

    Re: Karchmer Garage

It doesn't sound like it will now. The owner of the building at 16 NE 2nd (across the railroad ROW) filed an opposition that went up before the zoning adjustment board the same day I went to argue...
  9. Re: Smitty Park (NW 44th & Billen), a little history

We love waving to your dogs, Pete. Our youngest Pom, on the other hand, acts like your dogs will try to steal us. We can't win with that boy.

It really is an underrated park. We like popping...

    Re: Airline: Best and Worse?

Two of the best carriers I've flown with were foreign: ANA and Viet Jet. ANA was very hospitable (and they should be for a 14-hour flight), and Viet Jet drove it like a race car and it was the most...

They already come out to that location nearly every day and clean it out. Everything is back again with a day or two.

    Re: Hall's Pizza Kitchen

LOL perhaps. Did you order a pizza with toppings only on one half of the pizza with no sauce and no flavor? If so, then we have it. Maybe you got the garlic knots we didn't get.

Have any of you used Hall's online ordering? I'm listening to my mom have a fit with them on the phone because they messed up her order when she got there, thought they fixed it, then messed it up a...

Typically all it has to have to have the even first number is that it intersects at 2 other interstate highways. For instance, 235 connects to both 44 and 35. It doesn't necessarily mean it has to...
  15. Re: I-35 Widening Between OKC Metro and TX State Line

I noticed last trip through to Dallas that they're working on the alignment fix near Gainesville. It'll be nice to dull that curve there out a little.

Only as far east as SH 74. Beyond that it's a city street. It used to be SH-3A until around 2009 until it was decommissioned and handed back to the city.

    Re: Access Oklahoma Turnpike Projects

I have to agree on this point. The Turner in its current two-lane form has become quite dangerous. (Looking at those burn marks all over the pavement will kind of cement that impression.) Get that...

Re: July 2023 - General Weather Discussion

That's very true. I've put three padlocks on the gate at the top of the service ladder behind my house and they've cut that off each time within a day or two.

I've been eating their salads 3 times a week and don't feel bad about it. Definitely value enough to do it, enjoy it, and not feel bad about it later.
