"Quality" density is only one factor...and a good one, but it mattering "much, much more" places far, far too much emphasis on it IMHO. I do care about height. I'll say it a thousand times...height...

The sketch looks like a simple massing exercise. The color's just to make them pop. Could be some brick, but I'm guessing the color isn't meant to necessarily represent red brick.

Cylindrical would be a nice addition to the character of the CBD, but I kinda like the No.2 pencil look in the model along with some red brick finishes.
