Re: Oklahoma City Thunder 2023-24 Season

Easy choice. Giddy. The chances of KD coming back and not being, well, KD is practically zero. This team is where the are because they're a TEAM. KD would almost certainly ruin that. And he's past...

Re: Boardwalk at Bricktown / Dream Hotel

The FAA doesn't care a bit about anything but their requirements and standards. That being said the FAA approval will probably be the easiest, fastest single part of the process.

What an influential guitar player he was. If he didn't invent twang he did the most to make it well known.

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder 2023-24 Season

There's two ways to look at bringing in a veteran player. One, he could be a positive presence in a locker room of guys who are still learning the ways of the NBA. And two, he could somewhat to...

The NBA has announced Tuesday as the first game of the Thunder's second round no matter what happens in the Dallas/Clippers series.

    Re: Restaurant closings

A "maybe" restaurant closing? Hacienda Tacos started Cinco De Mayo commercials on The Animal today. They only name the Northpark location. The website also doesn't list the Midtown location now. I...

    Re: Restaurant closings

That's actually true. Just one more case of "They were really good and the prices were reasonable". But no one went there.

All day on the radio they've been saying if one team wins the next 2 we would play the winner Sunday. Not that they've never been wrong.

    Re: Restaurant closings

They closed on the 17th. The store never had much business at all. I was told about 5 years ago that corporate had signed a 10 year lease on the building and as soon as the lease was up they would be...

Re: Paycom Center (formerly Chesapeake Arena)

I'm a HUGE Avalanche fan. We used to go to Denver for home games, Dallas when they played the stars and occasionally St. Louis when they played the Blues. We haven't been lately because everything...

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder 2023-24 Season

Probably more likely now. But I'd rather see the Clippers win the series and play them without Leonard.

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder 2023-24 Season

Good game today. We went out to eat at halftime. The place we ended up had some TVs on TNT and some on Bally. TNT was about 10 seconds behind Bally and had different angles. I hate it when that...

I haven't been logged out in months either. Once in a while my phone decides to log me out of pretty much everything but that's a couple times per year.

They were both pretty ritzy for dollar theaters. At least at first. When we were hanging wall sconces in the theaters themselves they had a guy following us making sure we didn't hurt the silk...

    Re: Northpark Mall

The Super Saver Cinema that I was lead electrician on opened in 1987 and closed in 2000. It was a dollar theater from day one. The building was demolished sometime since then.

    Re: Northpark Mall

Dollar theaters just didn't seem to work. I wired the one on 240 and Shields and the one at 63rd and NW Expressway. They were both built as dollar theaters. Neither lasted long.

I love hockey. Love! I only halfway follow basketball because of our Thunder. As much as I would be ecstatic if we got an NHL team I don't see it happening in my lifetime. And I plan on having at...

Ok. But that was total attendance counting single game tickets. And not over 11k since '20. SLC has sold 11k season tickets and the move was only approved yesterday.

    Re: NHL/Coyotes

Just saw on ESPN that SLC has already sold 11k season tickets to the team. Whatever they'll be named. I don't know but seriously doubt Phoenix ever sold that many.

This one hurts. I've always loved ABB songs. And Betts was one of those players that could make a guitar cry or sing. Very sad day.

Just heard that O J Simpson died. He was 76. Yes, he had a checkered past but back in the day he was a hell of a running back.

    Re: Sunset Amphitheater

The mention of Dallas's fairgrounds amphitheater is worlds different from considering OKC fairgrounds. Dallas FG is surrounded by museums and other cultural venues. And it's not far east of downtown....
