On that note, merchandise sales have huge profit margins for touring artists now. We've come a long way from the basic black concert t-shirt. Many huge bands, like Metallica, Iron Maiden and Pearl...

I'm not sure why they're keeping the sign. It's hardly "historic." I designed that logo on my brother's Mac, with an X-Acto knife and a sharpie. Makes me laugh every time I see it. My mom saw it in...

Because the city doesn't own that site. They already own the Cox/PS site and that alone would save several millions.

They built protective barrier wall around the new P180 trees! Took someone 10 years to figure out how much construction work damages newly planted trees. This is progress!

This problem is not going away. It would be a good story to see what cities are actually doing in the 405.

A lot of major touring bands own their own stages and set-ups, or they employ their own crew, so it might be a requirement that they use their own stage. Not unusual at all.

The term "world class" always makes me cringe. Mayor Cornett used this phrase all the time to describe the (future) OKC Boulevard.

True story. ODOT's official name for this project is the "I-40 Bypass." I was in a meeting years ago, and the words "OKC Boulevard" never came out of the engineer's mouth.
