There have been so many great DJs on the air in OKC, but my favorite would have to be Don Miller on K-Zeeeeee-B-S!
He had a very large market sound for the mid- to late 80s in sleepy little OKC.

Relatives from the NE were on-board, ready to depart on their "already re-booked" flight to MDW, when the crew announced the flight was being cancelled. There was no f/o scheduled for the flight....
First broadcast from the new facility will be Sunday, November 13 at 10pm.
It is slated for demolition. IIRC, no new development is planned for that property. Sight lines from the ATC tower to runway 17L/35R prevent any new multistory building from occupying the lot.
Now for some good news...footings have been installed for the new roadway directional signage. The new signs, both overhead and roadside, will match the style of the newly installed terminal interior...
I completely agree. I would take it even further and say that the WRWA is one of the worst managed public facilities in the state. No offense to the hardworking employees of the Dept. of Airports,...
Yes, this does stink. Especially since the flight has been doing so well. AA must be really feeling the pinch...or pinches as the case may be. We'll look for it again in April!
As an...
They may be taking a respite during a period of routinely lighter bookings, due to the return of school and the height of hurricane season. The nonstop appears again starting November 1. This route...
"150,000 miles? OKCPD still has a number of the old black & white Ford Crown Victorias in it's fleet that probably have many times that."
The few remaining Crown Vics still in service are in...
The few remaining Crown Vics still in service are in their last days with the department. Since the early 2000s, OCPD's vehicle replacement program retires vehicles once they hit a certain mileage. ...
Nope, no sarcasm. Just the first several of 47 new cruisers purchased with CARES act money. These will mostly replace a fleet whose average mileage is north of 150,000 miles and racking up thousands...
Coming soon…a long awaited and sorely-needed fleet upgrade.

Heard them on the tower freq…sounded like a tech stop for gas.
Even TUL has mainline service from both DEN and IAH…an airport with half the traffic of OKC. Not sure it’s a UAL fleet problem. Sounds more like a conscience decision by UAL to not compete for market...
Interactive maps are great...until you have to make a change...then they can become a problem. I wouldn't expect an update any time soon, as the map will likely have to be rebuilt from scratch.

Yes, they are employees of the city's Department of Airports. They handle everything for WRWA and the city's other municipal airports, Wiley Post and CE Page.
It would have to be point-to-point, something unlikely to happen with Delta. But, if it could, new service to Boston, San Diego and Ft. Lauderdale (when cruises are back in full) would pretty much...
It sure would be nice to have Delta step up and provide some new service with the opening of the four new gates...three of which become their new home.
Probably shouldn't hold my breath for...
Three of the four loading bridges have been installed. Paving crews are on the last portion of the ramp. Light poles have been erected and are being wired. The TSA checkpoint equipment has not been...
32 diverts on Sunday from DFW...can't ever remember that many in one afternoon. Controllers were running out of ramp space to park the planes.
Yes, AA is using an E175 for the route.
Wow! You are correct. Once-daily nonstop on WN to AUS begins on Sunday, Nov. 7. It's AA vs WN....who will win?
OKC- MIA had been suspended since August, but just returned on June 1st. This route, I believe, is the single best addition to OKC’s air service in the last several years. You can have your “toes in...
Another great service add! Wonder if AA brings back the Philly flight?
On another note, AA has been sending alot of 321s in from DFW and CLT...seats in/out of OKC have sure been increased.
