  • Huge entertainment complex opens in Quail Springs Mall

    Round1, the Japanese-owned mega arcade and entertainment center, opened Saturday at Quail Springs Mall.



    The new complex is 50,000 square feet and located on the lower level between the AMC theater and JC Penney. There is a separate outdoor entrance as well as two that can be accessed within the mall.

    Round1 features hundreds of large-scale arcade games and holds the exclusive America rights for many games such as Betamania IIDX 288: Bistrover, Dance Dance Revolution A20 Plus, Sound Voltex Vivid Wave, Groove Coaster, Maximum Tune 5, and Initial D Arcade Stage 8. In addition, there are dozens of Japanese-style claw machines offering large plus toys currently popular in Japan.

    There are also 7 bowling lanes with multi-media screens, a large billiards area, several large-scale air hockey tables, and rooms for private parties.

    There is a food service area with seating along with a large fully-stocked bar with several beers on tap.

    The hours are 10 am to 2 am every day; late at night the atmosphere shifts to an adult crowd complete with karaoke.

    Round1 has more than 110 locations in Japan and has a reputation for consistently adding new games.

    The company is expanding rapidly, with the goal of 10 new stores per year, all within large malls.

    Round1 is operating or planning facilities in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.

    Quail Springs is the first Oklahoma location for the company. Opening day welcomed hundreds of customers.
