  • Robinson Renaissance building sells in the heart of downtown

The Oklahoma Commissioners of the Land Office has purchased the Robinson Renaissance Building at the southwest corner of Park and Robinson.

Built in 1927 and originally known as the Cravens Building, it consists of 179,887 square feet with 12 floors above ground and a large basement area that features a food court.

The building received a massive renovation in the mid-80's, which included the addition of a large central atrium.

Prior to the renovation the building had set vacant for quite some time and there was serious talk of demolition. The developer of the never-built Galleria shopping mall wanted it razed to make way for a large entrance plaza which would be framed on either side by the One and Two Galleria buildings, now know as Corporate and Oklahoma Tower respectively.

The Land Office current has it's offices in First National Center.

The sales price was $8,950,000 and was handled by Mark Beffort of Newmark Grubb Levy Strange Beffort.
