Has anyone else noticed the new outdoor electronic billboard outside on Robinson just north of Main. It's the building across the street from First National and just east of Oklahoma Tower. The name escapes me but the electronic billboard is a welcome item in downtown OKC. Hopefully we'll see more and bigger ones go up in the CBD soon.

well sort of, its more of an electronic ticker, just about a foot tall but its scrolling but it is full color although it doesn't do videos, etc.

Are you talking about the Journal Record ticker on the Corporate Tower building? It's been there for quite a while... Since the start of this NBA season, at least. The one just across the street from Quizno's?

Yeah, that one. Are you sure its been there for almost 7 months? I just noticed it about a month ago. I'm usually pretty up on this stuff and one of the first to notice. Perhaps it was there but wasn't always working?? I usually walk/ride my bike downtown (not to mention live downtown) several times a week and never noticed it until recently.

I definitely noticed it on my way home from Hornet's games all year. Not sure how long it was there before the start of the season. Maybe it is just more noticable at night.

I hadn't noticed it, but a news ticker downtown is a great addition.

Not sure how long but been there for quite a while. Have you seen the ones in Leadership Square? They are giant and really cool.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the tickers in Leadership Square, now those I can attest to having been there awhile, I'm just glad to see them finally moving outdoors in OKC.

They installed the news ticker in January. I work in Corporate Tower and I remember having to walk around the construction area when leaving the building.

Now the question....does anyone actually read a ticker anymore rather than just look the stuff up online?

It's still cool to look at, so that's enough for me...I'm just saying.
