Word is the Park Avenue Grill is doing really well. A friend of ours at church works at the CVB and he heard that Kirk Humphreys showed up without a reservation AT LUNCH and they turned him away.

Most people with his city status have people that call ahead and make things work. It's not really an issue because everybody follows the rules and makes reservations. Unless your name is Rudy Giuliani, then you've got OKC at your beck and call.

Well the point is that they were so busy that even someone with his clout couldn't get in.

I wonder if Rudy had to call ahead to get a seat at Earl's Rib Palace.

I'm happy to see this restaurant doing so well. I hope the hotel is also doing as well.

I wonder how the painted door is doing at the new location as well.

I'm planning a trip to OKC in May and noticed that I can get a room over the weekend at the Skirvin for just over $100. That's a screaming deal!

Yup, I'm staying at the Skirvin for our anniversary in May.....got a room for $149. Not bad! I was expecting way more. We paid over $200 for a room at the Colcord.

I love it when celebraties are treated like everyone else... Or better yet, worse than everyone else. Especially when they are legands in their own minds like Humphreys.

He ate there when he was here a couple weeks ago.
