Just found out yesterday that the Wild Oats Market in Tulsa, which has recently doubled in size, will become a Whole Foods Market.

The word I heard is the rebranding will occur in May or June, so expect an announcement that it will take place in the fall (you know how things go).

Whole Foods is buying out the entire chain of Wild Oats Markets.

Surely this means we will get a Whole Foods in OKC soon.

yeah, if you want more details, there are a couple of threads already on this. Just search for Whole Foods. I'd post the link for you but there are several.

I guess I missed that the Tulsa store was being re-branded to a Whole Foods. With the buyout, it was a given I suppose, I just hadn't thought about it I guess. Maybe Whole Foods will see they can make money without the wine sales and come on down the turnpike. Or, maybe they'll see how dependent they are on wine sales and we'll finally change the laws. How's that for covering the bases?
