I'm taking pics from my second story through the screen and it's sort of dark so bear with me.. but this is my backyard.. yikes! The creek usually is at least 8-10 feet lower and only about 6 feet across.. it now looks like a raging river.

That's our trampoline.. the water is almost to the bottom of it.. our tube for jetskiing was a casuality... if anyone sees it jump in and grab it for me would ya?

Usually all those trees are NOT in the water... and it's still pouring outside.

Post your Flood of 2007 pics ...

I tried to take one with the sun peeking through.. keep in mind that is our trampoline where the kids play all the time and it looks tiny in the pic so you can get an idea of how high and deep this water is.. the kids wade through this all the time in ankle deep water (all year round) so this is pretty amazing in that the water got so high so quickly.

Since I was stuck at the office until 10:30 last night, I couldn't get any pics. The times I looked out my window by my desk, our parking lot was under water.

As a matter of fact, the police and fire department started shutting down Penn from NW.10 to Main St because of high water. I wasn't sure if I was going to get to go home or not.

whew..dodged a bullet.. water is down now... I wasn't really worried - we're pretty high up but that is a pretty scary thing to see that water rising so high.

I hope and pray CNN doesn't pick this one up.. I saw on the news some 'neantherthal' down on SE 59th was actually taking a swim in the dirty, rising flood waters... just splashing and frolicking.. probably first bath in awhile! lol

Wow! Got flood insurance?!? I live on a hill with no running water nearby. My lawn drains really well, but even so, I had a little pond going in my backyard. Didn't get any pics though.

No we are not in a flood zone believe it or not.. if you look at the trampoline it might be a better point of reference.. I was taking the pics through our second story window.. the size of the trampoline is pretty large, the big ones you see at Sam's Club.. so it is pretty far from our house.. and we are three levels (tiers) above the creek.. pretty high up although you can't really tell from the pics. There is no way unless Noah calls it that the water could reach our house.. but the river did steal my jet ski tube! I saw it on the edge of the creek and withing minutes it was in the water and there was no way I or the kids were going to try to fish it out.. I'll try to take a pic of what the creek usually looks like so you can see how high it was.

I live near 122nd & MacArthur, the road flooded and there was a woman and child stuck inside. They got out safely with the help fo firefighters. The pics arent great, but things sure were exciting! http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Julesc2001/n214401900_30489576_876.jpghttp://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Julesc2001/n214401900_30489575_582.jpghttp://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Julesc2001/n214401900_30489580_3148.jpg

I'm still so amazed at how high the water came so quickly. This shows you what the water level usually is like ...notice how far down the water is? The water was above all the dirt and over the banks.. pretty unbelievable.. and then in the morning, it was all gone..

Where did it go?

Okay, this will blow your mind.. my friend emailed pics today of the damage they had from the same creek.. they live two streets away from us in the same neighborhood and we are both backed at the ends of the cul de sacs.

They have (had) the most beautiful backyard. They had a Koi pond.. only 4 survived.. their backyard was buried in 6-8 inches of mud! They were hit one two sides because our pond ran off and the the creek rose and it all just covered the lower portion of their yard.. so sad!
