I really hope so! Intrepid 03-26-2007, 09:13 PM Would probably do well, although I thought they were very over priced when I went to the one on/near MacArthur. Cricket 03-26-2007, 09:18 PM True, but I could make a meal out of those hot rolls! :lol2: CMSturgeon 03-27-2007, 10:31 AM Doesn't Fire Mountain give anyone else the sh**s? MadMonk 03-27-2007, 11:47 AM I've been to the one on N. Penn. It was pretty good. Lots of variety and - more importantly - it was very clean. CMSturgeon 03-27-2007, 11:50 AM J/k by the way. Fire Mountain does has a large selection of things to eat and everything tasted great (location on i-40). I would probably go back but I'm never on that side of town. I'll stick with the Sizzler for now. Easy180 03-27-2007, 11:53 AM It is slightly better than Golden Corral, but just not a big fan of buffets in general...Except for Chinese of course Now my brother's family will donate heavily to Fire Mountain if they do build...They can do some damage traemac 03-27-2007, 10:43 PM nothing like another feeding troth PUGalicious 03-28-2007, 04:26 AM What's a "feeding troth"? Martin 03-28-2007, 05:43 AM troth? this is oklahoma... how can one forget their ag roots so quickly? the word for which you're looking is trough. but... yeah... i liken buffets like golden corral, hometown buffet and (probably) fire isla... err... fire mountain to feeding troughs as well. -M CMSturgeon 03-28-2007, 06:42 AM Anyone remember Ryans that used to be next to Golden Corral? Martin 03-28-2007, 06:51 AM yep... and... actually, ryans restaurants is the parent company of fire mountain. -M CMSturgeon 03-28-2007, 06:51 AM OMG i'm eating there everyday then. Intrepid 03-28-2007, 07:09 AM Anyone remember Ryans that used to be next to Golden Corral? I do. Ate there MAYBE once. Didn't really care for it. Intrepid 03-28-2007, 07:10 AM yep... and... actually, ryans restaurants is the parent company of fire mountain. -M As Johnny Carson used to say, "I did not know that." :) soonergirl 04-03-2007, 08:55 AM I also heard about a year ago that Fire Mountain was coming... in fact, when they first started building the Starbucks on 19th Street, we thought that's what it was. I can't confirm it but I've certainly heard the rumors. That would be a good addition to the area! u50254082 04-04-2007, 09:47 PM We've got one of these in Lawton.. the building used to be a Ryan's. Decent buffet I think, definitely nothing spectacular. cindyl57 04-05-2007, 08:28 AM My Grandson...He is only 7, but his favorite place to eat...LOL... Hey when you find a kid that likes something besides Happy Meals or Pizza..that is saying something... Cindy russellc 04-13-2007, 08:21 PM I looked at the county assessors website and Fire Mountain did own land south of Russell Stovers, but they have already sold it, with a profit too. Easy180 04-13-2007, 08:33 PM Interesting....I did notice they are doing some ground work south of Stover's so I wonder what's going in then CMSturgeon 04-14-2007, 03:43 PM My Grandson...He is only 7, but his favorite place to eat...LOL... Hey when you find a kid that likes something besides Happy Meals or Pizza..that is saying something... Cindy A rare and priceless find. I'll give you $100. cindyl57 04-15-2007, 07:22 AM Nah...He's a keeper...Besides I am holding out for more...LOL...I remember when my son's favorite place was Furrs. He would load up on Spaghetti and Ice Cream... Cindy russellc 04-24-2007, 08:12 AM Fire Mountain bought 2 lots 1-17-05 for $900,000 and sold it 8-31-06 to Ashmore Investments for $1,160,001. CMSturgeon 04-24-2007, 07:01 PM SO what properties does Ashmore Inv. currently have I wonder.... oudirtypop 05-21-2007, 09:29 PM i dont know for sure if or if not fire mountain is coming here , but what i do know is that macky mcnears or a western sizzlin is getting built in front of lowes. I couldn't read the sign, but i saw super buffet. I was hoping for the Fridays to be there, but it looks like if it going to be built, the location is still unknown. Martin 05-22-2007, 05:24 AM ^ i was thinking the furr's buffet was going in there. -M flintysooner 05-22-2007, 05:35 AM Furr's buffet concept - see http://www.okctalk.com/moore/9619-furrs-cafeteria.html Martin 05-22-2007, 05:47 AM yep... and i believe that thread states that furr's is going in somewhere north of freddy's... wouldn't that put it at right about the spot this thread is discussing? -M Easy180 05-22-2007, 08:15 AM That's it mmm...The sign north of Freddy's saying buffet is the Furr's CMSturgeon 05-23-2007, 04:15 PM So, in regards to my earlier response... None of these restaurants trigger anyone else's IBS? Easy180? IBS? Sorry, that was as much as I could contribute to this conversation. |
