Just a note here to remind you all that March 31 in OKC there is a walk to support Autism. They now believe that 1 in 150 people are dx with this. I have 7 grandchildren. 5 of them are boys and 4 of the boys are Autistic. There may be another thread here about this, but I am a pretty new member and haven't seen it...I hope I don't break the rules or step on toes...If any one is interested in Walking or supporting this Please Visit Autism Speaks Autism Speaks, Home Page (http://www.autismspeaks.org/) Or my personal page here Autism Speaks - Walk for Autism Research: : (http://www.autismwalk.org/site/TR?px=1842488&pg=personal&fr_id=1380&s_tafId=32381)
If you cannot support this right now, just learn all you can...And share it with everyone you knowhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/Cindyl57/ribbonstorywtwb.jpg
Thank You
Cindy

Thanks for the info cindy157. My 9 yr old nephew (which pretty much is like a grandson to me) is autistic. I'll be looking into participating in this event. Heck, I didn't even know there was a autism ribbon.

Your Welcome...And There is alot to learn about Autism and I hope that by sharing and talking about it...We can make more and more people understand and hopefully someday they will find an answer as to Why and possibly a cure...Or at least a prevention.

Our school systems do try and help, but the cost of providing the kind of help these children need is so great. I wish I could win the lottery so I could put the money here in this area to help children with autism and their familys.
There are some programs that they have had alot of success with, but most families cannot afford these programs. They cost more than a family makes in a year.

Well here I go on my soap box...Really...I just want to tell people and make them aware and spread the word...

Lots of prayers for your nephew...
Cindy
