View Full Version : What's Up With BricktownOKC.com?

The pages are like way out of date. The calendar section points to an Oklahoman web page that, after searching last night, has no Bricktown events in it anywhere from today to the end of July... and when I clicked on the "email us" link on the page and asked them about all of this, I ended up getting a Delivery Notification Failure saying relay was denied to brent@brewerentertainment.com.

What's up with this? If they aren't going to keep it up, the owners should give it up to someone who can handle it.

Yeah if it is not going to be regularly updated, they need to sell it or take it down.

With Jim Brewer involved I can guarantee he won't give it away. I'm sure he also sees no value in it (aka, in his pocket), or at least not enough to actually pay someone to keep it up.

The official Brictktown website is Bricktown Downtown Oklahoma City (http://www.bricktownokc.org). Check that one for latest offical info on Bricktown. The .com is privately owned and maintained.

That site's a little better updated, but still seems to be missing some restaurants. Like it has Melting Pot but doesn't have Othello's or Al Eschbach's.

Since it is maintained by the Bricktown Assoc., might be that they are not yet members of the Association...just a guess on my part.

I thought Brewer's site was the Bricktown Association one.

I believe bricktownokc.com is Brewer and bricktownokc.org is Association's.

I actually asked this very question in one of my first posts nearly a year ago. I emailed the webmaster and asked for the site to be updated, but I never got a response and as you can tell, my request was ignored. How can Brewer let this slip? We live in such a cyber-society these days, it is stupid for Brewer to ignore a media as valuable as the internet.
