For anyone who has been to NO can you give some ideas on things to do during the day? I'm a little worried about going after Katrina and not sure what to expect.. has anyone been recently?

We are staying at the Rue Dumaine in the French Quarter. Anyone stayed there? We are going the second week of Feb to Kerrys, Charlies' Checkpoint and Louisiana Music Factory.. meeting friends there in NO.

Any ideas on historical museums or tours, interesting places to visit that might not be widely advertised?
