Apologies if this has already been posted. If it has the moderators can delete this post. Anyway, this is pretty interesting, as to whether or not it will come to full fruition is another thing, but here's the link:

It's a presentation from OKFGS (Oklahoma Fixed Guideway Study) on a major plan to expand on the current bus system. Details are given on estimated costs and looks like they're looking at a combination of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), modern rail cars, commuter rail between Norman and Edmond through downtown Oklahoma City and the regular buses. I hope this is implemented as planned, it will definitely make it easier to commute throughout the metro.

Looks like a good plan. I like it. Is anyone planning to go to the Edmond meeting? I think I might go.

I do think they are low on their ridership numbers, especially on the commuter rain and downtown streetcar.

Brian - Check the date. This meeting was last year.

I was going to say, the Fixed Guideway Study was over a year or so ago. This discussion was done and over with. That is why they are now doing the Core To Shore and others since the FGS was completed.
