Additional Downtown Parking and Trolley Rides

just in time for Opening Night 2007

Oklahoma City - METRO Transit is encouraging everyone to park once and ride the Oklahoma Spirit Trolleys during Opening Night 2007. The new City Center Parking Facility now offers an additional 1,000 parking spaces in the center of the city (corner of Park and Harvey). New Trolley routes will enable Opening Night participants to visit all of the festivities on New Year’s Eve, Sunday, December 31, 2006.

Three FREE trolleys in Downtown Oklahoma City will begin at 6 p.m. and will run a continuous loop, connecting all of the Opening Night Festivities until the fireworks begin at midnight.

In addition, the Orange Line Trolley will pick up passengers at designated trolley stops along Meridian Avenue, beginning at 6 p.m. Passengers fare is $3.00 (exact change required) upon boarding for roundtrip service to and from the downtown area. Once downtown, passengers may ride the downtown trolleys FREE. After the fireworks passengers will be transported back to Meridian Avenue.

During Opening Night, the trolleys will observe the following detours. Routes will resume regular service on Tuesday, January 2, 2007.
