View Full Version : What's behind your screen name?

When registering for this site, we all had to choose a user/screen name. Obviously, mine is AFCM, which is an acronym for "Aim For Center Mass". When I was new to the military and I wanted to sign up for a Sooner message board, AimForCenterMass was the only available name I could come up at the time. I stuck with the name but had trouble using it on here...why I can't remember. So anyways, I just used the acronym AFCM and that's my story.

I've noticed another acronyms, like BDP, for example. What's the story behind your screen name? Patrick and Mr. Anderson, you don't have to participate.

Nothing is behind it. In front of it, maybe, but not behind it.

Mine comes from the fact that I live in OKC and am a guy. LOL, mine is so generic, I couldn't believe it wasn't all ready taken yet!

i deserve a badge for the dumbest screen name. i typed my first/last initial three times... when i signed up, i never thought i would post regularly... i just had some random okc question and thought once i had the answer that'd be the end of it. so much for that! -M

The Lauri part is my real first name. The "101" comes from college course numbering - "101" is the required, basic course.

Just basic Lauri!

I basically read for a living, (I'm half-joking, but won't go into it), and yes, I get paid to do it!

I had a DOS box running until 1997, and people assumed it was because I had some deep-seated fear of Microsoft Windows.

I'm a band nerd. Dee de dee. I teach band, was in band from 5th grade until my first senior year (yes I had two, 5-year degree at UCO, I'm not kidding...graduated with 160 credit hours or something crazy like that) of college. I was even on the drumline for 3 years. So yes, I am a band nerd.

I never was a very creative person, so that's why I just stuck with my first name. At work and at church they call me by my nickname, "Hotsoss." You just have to know me to know how I got the nickname (and no, it's not because I am "hot."......far from it) but I do have it on the front plate on my pickup.

Well since I live at the Red Cup coffeeshop when I am not working or home on the computer, I decided to use it as my handle. Hmmm, I think I need to get a life. Anyone have a suggestion?????

I was OKCgoddess on here for a long-time. I didn't intend to be on the board as long as I have. I didn't have a really good reason for the first username so I switched to Faith because it has more meaning to me. First off it is my middle name. And second, because Faith in God is what carries me through all things in life.
