Library's 'Oklahoma Image' deadline extended

The Oklahoma Libraries Department has extended the photo submission deadline for its "Oklahoma Image" project.
The original deadline was Friday, but response has been so overwhelming that department officials decided to continue receiving submissions through Oct. 1.
"We've received over a thousand photos so far," said Susan Feller, development officer for the department.
"Each and every one of them shows Oklahoma at its best."
While most of the photos are historical, the library department will accept current photos.
"We are pleased to get anything people feel is of historical significance," Feller said.
To submit a photo, e-mail a scanned image to sfeller@oltn.odl.state.ok.us, or mail a copy to Susan Feller, Oklahoma Libraries Department, 200 NE 18, Oklahoma City, OK 73105.
Include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
Original photos will be returned. Photos should be e-mailed or postmarked by Oct. 1. For more information, call Feller at 522-3259 or e-mail
sfeller@oltn.odl.state.ok.us. The photos will be used to create exhibits celebrating the centennial that will tour the state's public libraries next year.
