Oh my! Is that a dog or a rabid rat?

I think this is the Champ for the World's Ugliest Dog but I heard he passed away.. something about walking past a mirror.

He was blind Karried.

I don't think that was the problem :(

LOL...

One man's "ugly" is another man's "unique."

Memo to husband:

Not until you are out of law school and can take care of the dog.

Do you want a puppy that's going to poop on the floor and chew up your stuff? I don't.

Memo to husband who wants puppy and wife who doesn't:

Get a dog that's about a year old and already housebroken. Still young enough to learn & play like a puppy, but no running to the door with piddling puppy in hand. :) And no teething!

Memo to sweetdaisy:

Don't encourage the husband. Will incur the wrath of the wife ;)

I just really don't want a dog. We had lots of dogs back home...at most, 9...and my sister has about 6 (several are greyhound fosters) and to me they are like kids; fun for a day but I'm ready to come home to my quiet, bark-less apartment at the end of the day!

Memo to scary wife (LOL!!!):

Can't help but encourage the husband. (I volunteer at the animal shelter and want to find homes for all the furry babies.) However, I completely understand the joys of a bark-free home. :)

I am not the type to ask for permission to do anything. The wife never ask me for permission either. When I wanted a dog I brought home a dog. Then again that is the relationship me and the wife have. We take care of the priorities and the rest is at our own discretion.

She has a zillion pairs of shoes....I have my yellow Lab. As long he does not chew up her shoes she is happy. Heck she is the one that lets him sleep at the foot of our bed. I don't mind because he is my backup alarm clock.

I think shoes are different than dogs.

In quite a few ways :)

At the risk of incurring the wrath of bandnerd, I need to share a thought I had last nite.

I believe Midtowner and bandnerd have 2 cats in their home right now...I'm not sure how old each of these kitties are, but bringing a new dog into a home with much older kitties could be quite traumatic to the kitties. The older the cats get, the more difficult it is for them to adjust. In short, you may want to think about getting a puppy sooner rather than later. It would make the adjustment for your other pets much easier. :)

(The above is based on the experiences I am currently going through with 2 cats - 8 & 9 years old - and a "new" dog - 1 year old.)

Gah.

Anchovy is 4, I think, and Tolstoy is about 2.5.

We've got lots of time lol.

sweetdaisy

Anchovy is approximately 32 and Tolstoy is about 17.5 (cat years run pretty close to dog years)...this would be the perfect time for them to have a new friend. Still young enough to play with a pup. LOL. :D

(If I don't ever come back to the site, it's b/c bandnerd put out a "hit" on me.)

I know people. You know, *know* people. I could probably put a hit on you lol.

Kidding, kidding.
