Does anyone know what restaurants are scheduled to open in Stillwater at the Lakeview Pointe development?

Some sort of steak house like Texas Roadhouse and an Olive Garden are the strong rumors. I will talk to my 10 Stillwater insiders this week and find out for sure.

I think the steakhouse was rumored to be Logans. Another subway is coming too. # 7 for Stillwater. The shopping center will open in a couple months... You'd think these restaurants would start construction soon.

Shopping center could open without restaurants.

Peripheral property — land that remains for sale or lease after the shopping center has been developed — has come into its own as an effective bottom-line booster.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Belk Department Store, Linen & Things, Ross Dress For Less, Back Room Shoes, and Petco would open stores in the Lakeview Pointe shopping center. Other announcements are expected as the planned-October completion of the shopping center draws nearer.

It is on the building. I presume it is the shopping center you mentioned. All I saw was the sign for the business and not the name of the center.

Fountain Square is in the SW quadrant of Stillwater also known as the wealthy part of town. Lakeview Pointe is in the N. part of town. Also, i have driven through every shopping center and no pass your plate signs have been posted anywhere that i saw.

Ok here is what is known. A person went to Mexico Joes to get a gift card. Hostess replys... we can't do mexico joes gift cards right now b/c we're switching ownership to Teds Mexican Restaurant. So read into that however you want. Also new steakhouse "Marshall Dillons" is now open at Henry Wells golf course.

Checked with some people and found out that yes indeed, Mexico Joe's will be Ted's. Not sure of the timetable, but it was recently approved by the city. I know where I will be eating for the rest of my educational career...

I have been meaning to try Marshall Dillon's. My neighbor downstairs is a waiter there.

This isn't groundbreaking news, however, after reading about the Albertsons closing it had me doing some looking around at the new owner: RPCS Inc. The following information was very interesting to me.

For those who do not know, we are getting a new Starbucks (opening next year) directly adjacent to our current Albertsons parcel to the east on Hall of Fame. With the purchase of Albertsons to RPCS Inc., the current store will undoubtedly change into pricecutter plus, a larger version of price cutter grocery stores. In EVERY prior Albertsons bought by RPCS Inc, this exchanging of brands has taken place. Also, in EVERY case, the pricecutter plus has a Starbucks located within the grocery store. Does this mean Starbucks will have its first two locations in Stillwater be within 500 ft. of each other? Looks that way.

Any chance of getting a Stillwater 'city' board? Or at least moving this to the Guthrie board?

Good news, JD! I had heard the Starbucks was going on NW corner of HoF and Main.

I'm kinda glad to see Albertson's go. I liked to walk there to shop instead of Walmart, but it was always so expensive.

Are you telling me that Shawnee got a Starbucks before Stillwater?

Bizzare, isn't it?

jbrown84

Shawnee's had theirs for over a year.

I guess being right on I-40 helps, but Stillwater certainly has a much larger population of college students.

Possible reasons:

1. We have a Panera and a quite a few independent coffee shops. But knowing Starbucks, that shouldn't matter.
2. This could be the work of the protectionists within the city government...precisely why we don't have a Target, or other good stores and restaurants.
