If we all donate even a few dollars, it might help relieve some of the discomfort and suffering of the elderly people who don't even have a fan.. is this sad or what?

Cooling relief

Beginning at 9 a.m. today, the Salvation Army will give free fans donated by Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. and Lowe’s Home Improvement to senior adults and the disabled at its Social Services Division, 501 S Harvey, in Oklahoma City. Persons have to bring identification to show they aren’t homeless to get the aid. Food also will be available, officials say.
Seeking shelter
In Oklahoma City, residents are encouraged to seek cool shelter and water at the Salvation Army’s Social Services headquarters, 501 S Harvey, and the Salvation Army’s Men’s Lodge at 330 SW 4. Residents also can get shelter and water at the Salvation Army’s senior centers at 5301 N Meridian, 1225 N Kate, 3416 S Robinson, 5415 S Shartel, and 4301 N Ann Arbor.
