Floater,

Thanks for asking we were just in the process of rolling out the "Reputation" feature and now is as good a time as any to give you the low down.

Member Reputations:
The reputation system provides a way of rating members based on the quality of their posts. Members can add or subtract reputation points from other members by clicking the reputation link in their posts. Member reputations allow the users of OKCTALK to tell which members are quality and which are not. And in response to member feedback, OKCTALK has the ability to reward users for the quality of their posts, as is indicated by their reputation (Green Dots). If you hover your mouse over the green dots you will see each reputation level has a clever title.

Eventually we plan to reward quality members by creating special promotions and or member privileges based on the members reputation level they have earned.

Guidelines to earning and removing reputation points.

New members receive 10 points upon registration.

For every 60 days you are a member, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 25 posts, members gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 100 points of reputation, members gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

Members must have a minimum of 50 posts before his reputation hits count on others.

Members must have a minimum of 10 reputation points before his reputation hits count on others.

Members can only give 10 reputation clicks over each 24 hour period.

Members must give 3 different members reputation points before he can hit the same person again.

Ahhhhh..very interesting. So if you don't want to stick it to somebody verbally in public, you can do it privately... :D I'm sure people can separate agreement and respect...
