This is just an opinion; there is no research to back it up:

If one builds or buys more prison beds, one has to have a body to place in each of those beds.

What part is opinion? I saw research, I saw numbers:

"Oklahoma had the highest per capita imprisonment rate for women -- 129 behind bars for every 100,000 women in its population."

Are you referring to the cause of the problem or the fact that Oklahoma is leading the nation?

Not trying to argue here, just trying to understand your post.

I was saying that what I was saying is just my opinion---I believe the statistics in the article as fact---I was not suggesting what you posted was wrong.
