When you die what do you want on your headstone - and if you are cremated, what would you want said at your memorial.. I know this might sound morbid but I'm curious..

To make this even more strange - What song would you want played?

I love the song by Kenny Chesney

" Who You'd be Today" and of course, Tim McGraw " Live Like you were Dying"

What would your family play for you? Something to think about.....

Right about what specifically?

Sweetdaisy, just in deep thought I guess.... I wanted to stir up some discussions on things we haven't talked about - most people don't like to talk about it..

But, it sometimes is a nice reminder that we do only get one chance on this planet and we should make it count. You always regret the things you don't do.

Cremation, please....drop me in the ocean. That's as far as I've gotten.

I think I would have to put on mine something like.

Move your blocking my view of the sky.

Quit standing on me and my section of grass.

If you leave cheap plastic flowers here I will come and haunt you. Instead leave me a couple oil cans of Foster's and a supreme deep dish from Pizza Hut. If you can roll out a big screen.

I would list some others but they are on the adult side of humor.

Too bad it didn't say, what do you want on your tombstone. I would've said Pepperoni.

Name, date of birth, date of death.

Wouldn't want to out my family a whole lot of $ for an elaborate monument.

If you're that concerned about saving them money, just let thme cremate you. Or better yet, they can bury you in their backyard, next to FiFi the Poodle.

That's why I'm opting for cremation...easier, cheaper, etc.

I agree with cremation - okay what will you have inscribed on your urn? Keep it short - they are small! ha,ha..

It'll be easier for subsequent generations to do studies of geneology if there's a headstone.

Also, someone might want to clone me someday :)

A lot of my friends are going to be patent lawyers. I may already hold the intellectual property rights to my own DNA sequence :)

I'll see you in court ;)

(or at least my clone will)

Let's get the ball rolling - most creative personal epitaph :

I'm borrowing a few to get us started but try to make up one that pertains to you: We'll vote in a few days if everyone participates.... I'll try to think of one.

She was a suicide blonde -
Dyed by her own hand.

Lived a life of stress and worry
Rushing through it in a hurry
Didn't stop to smell the roses
But now he feeds them as he decomposes

Here lies an Atheist
All dressed up
And no place to go.

Here lies Ezekial Aikle
Age 102
The Good Die Young.

Born 1903 - Died 1922
Looked up the elevator shaft to see if
the car was on the way down.
It was.

LOL - let's see what our creative members come up with.

As an industrial-strength blogger, I think there's only one appropriate epitaph:
