View Full Version : In this thread we say nice things about Tulsa Patrick 04-25-2006, 10:33 AM Please reply with positive comments about Tulsa. flyingcowz 06-08-2006, 09:48 AM Haha...it's been quite a long time. I see from this topic that still no one has anything nice to say. I'll be leaving now. drumsncode 06-08-2006, 10:14 AM For exercise buffs, the Riverside Drive trail is the finest thing I've ever seen. It's flexible in all the paths you can take. You can do strictly trail, or you can mix it with residential. The surrounding scenery is incredible. There's an outdoor restaurant sitting directly on the trail at 19th and Riverside. It has an atmosphere that is unbeatable. There is simply no comparison to the Hefner Trail. Stinger 06-08-2006, 01:52 PM Southern Hills. The Brookside area on Peoria is fantastic. The trees are huge in all the neighborhoods around the river, the architecture is completely to die for. I just love Tulsa, can't wait to move back and watch all the sunsets on the Arkansas River. And for pizza lovers everywhere, if you don't mind going to Sand Springs, there's Minuteman Pizza at 41st and State Hwy 97 that has some of the best, most unique pizza you've ever had. Extremely thin crust, very tasty, and of course, overpriced. It's a hole in the wall place, but very fun and casual. Don't go on Sundays or Mondays, they're closed. I think it just got lost in the pack with the other threads. Anyways, where has swake been? Patrick 06-09-2006, 07:07 AM The forested parts of Tulsa are asboltely beautful. I just love taking a relaxing stroll through Utica Square. Sitting on a bench while my wife goes in and shops. Awww! (state probation officer). Loved swan lake, loved the riverwalk. But family came first so I moved back to Duncan. The only thing I did not like was the low salary I made, but thats not Tulsas fault, thats the states fault. I am married now, so maybe we will move back some day. Things might be better for me in Tulsa now. drumsncode 08-30-2006, 08:07 AM I miss Tulsa so much too. People that ride the Hefner Trail don't know what they're missing until they ride the RiverParks trail. Midtowner 08-30-2006, 08:12 AM Hefner trail = too windy. chelle 09-12-2006, 08:43 AM I grew up in Tulsa, I think you are referring to Woodward Park. My grandmother used to take me there all the time and I remember the squirrels would take cookies right out of my hand. The park is close to Philbrook, an old mansion that I think was built by one the Phillips brothers and is now an art museum. I miss Tulsa but whenever I visit, I can't imagine having to deal with the traffic. pimpthistownvotepaultay 10-01-2006, 09:26 AM Comfortably (fill in the blank) Spartan 10-03-2006, 06:16 PM I'm living in OKC, but on the drive down from Massachusetts we stopped in Tulsa for a day, and there was this park with this unbelievably beautiful rose garden by Utica Square I think.. not far from one of the casinos... fantastic. :) Such a lovely park, the grounds were amazing, the trees and squirrels and the little pond and the rocks... seriously beautiful. Either the Tulsa Rose Gardens or Woodward Park. ultimatesooner 10-06-2006, 12:41 PM Quicktrip >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 7-11 |
