Did anyone catch the story on News 9 about some type of S&P rating? I saw the very last but not enough to know what they were talking about. I thought I saw Vince Orza talking Okc and mentioned Dell along with Microsoft. Might of heard something about an AA+ rating?

Like I said I only got about 2% of the story, because I was being distracted by other things. Maybe I just imagined the whole thing, I don't know.

Are you talking about state bonds? AA

Standard and Poor's rates all municipal bonds based upon perceived risk; the top rating, AAA, is exceedingly rare. The next rating down is AA+, and that's where Oklahoma City is now listed.

End result: future bond issues can carry a lower interest rate, cutting the city's interest expense. (Municipalities with low ratings have to pay higher interest to attract buyers.)
