PAULS VALLEY, Okla. -- A charter bus accident near Pauls Valley, Okla., on Saturday left two people dead and many others injured, authorities confirmed.
Officials said that one of the dead is an 8-year-old boy. Authorities said 45 people were on the bus.
Two other people were in critical condition and were being transported to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center, officials said.
Officials said the accident happened at Exit 70 on Interstate 35. Police said that I-35 travel near the Wynnewood, Okla., and Pauls Valley exits has been shut down.
Authorities said many injured are being taken to local emergency rooms. One medical worker at the scene described it as "chaos."
