The Sante Fe IMPACT Unit of the Oklahoma City Police Department, along with officers from the Gang Enforcement Unit conducted a narcotics investigation near the intersection of SE 17th and High. Initially two suspects were taken into custody for selling crack cocaine to undercover police officers. The drug dealers were selling the drugs out of a vacant apartment. Undercover officers then moved into the apartment posing as drug dealers, which netted six more arrests.
In all, there were seven felony arrests and one misdemeanor arrest made. Officers also confiscated a pistol, ammunition, cash in the form of drug proceeds, four grams of crack cocaine and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. Anyone with information on illegal weapons or drugs being sold should call 232-NARC (232-6272) or the gun hotline 297-1195.
