Kim, any reason this project wasn't included?:

And thanks for doing such a good job!

Yes,

I contacted David Box, Bruce Bockus' office, and someone at the City and never received a return call or the requested renderings. I give the project "owners" numerous chances to update or supply information, but some are hard to get to. I think if they knew how many people actually read this report, they would be more responsive. We have decided to only include project information that comes directly from the "horse’s mouth" as to avoid any erroneous information. Sometimes I just have to pull the trigger and send that sucker out! I could work on it 24/7!

That makes sense and at 33 pages, I can appreciate what a big job this has become.

I bet they'll be more responsive in the future once they get more serious about marketing their property.

Always a good read. The Brownstones at Maywood look interesting, although EXPENSIVE.

I'm not sure with those "banana" smilies if that's a good or a bad thing! Doesn't matter ...:respect: I meant what I said. You, and your organization do more to promote downtown Okc than any other organization that I know. I've been on a quasi-sabbatical from OkcTalk since I've gotten WHOLLY enamored and sucked into the Hornets in OKC this year ... which is the reason I've not posted here much lately (for whatever reason, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of crazy support for the Hornets here ... so I've instead spent most of my "board" time for the past several months where there are more crazy people like ME! :beaten_fi ... http://www.hornetscentral.com . Now that this past season is a done deal, I'll be coming back to my (by now) 2nd love, downtown OKC ... until, of course, Octoberish or so!

Maybe I'll even get back to finishing a project I started quite some time back but also dropped after I became enchanted with the Hornets ... radically expanding my downtownOKC maps & pics! I don't know if you've ever looked at it, but the "old" version of that (still intact) is http://www.dougloudenback.com/downtownOKC.htm which is what I'll be expanding upon. I did quite a bit of groundwork on it before becoming wholly obcessed with the Hornets!

Yep. It's time to do that ... get back to my roots! :beaten_fi

Kudos again for your great work! :congrats:

GO HORNETS! GO DOWNTOWN OKC!

Nope, the bananas looked happy and your nice comments made me feel good, no disrespect intended!

Yep, it was an exciting year for OKC with the Hornets here.

Have a good weekend.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Looks like Candy Factory work could start very soon.... That is going to bring lots more life to Bricktown.

I must say I am quite excited about the American Indian Cultural Center. For those of you who want a landmark type building, this might be it.

Is there something on that site about the AICC, Cuatro? I couldn't find anything.

Yeah, I finally found it but it sure is a pain to navigate.

CuatrodeMayo

It's not terribly user-friendly.

Click Enter, then click the bottom right rectangle (should turn green and say "Lab") You should then see images of AICC. Then click the top square in the left side for more images and a Quicktime flythrough.

I just found WAY more. Instead of clicking the "LAB" rectangle, click the "monograph" rectangle (upper left). Then click "case study" then "choose a project". Click the project.

It makes me so happy to see so many of the smaller buildings that had been forgotten for so long finally being reborn!!!
