I know how to include imgages located on the web into messages here, using http address.

But, how can I do the same thing as to images included in the Photo Gallery which I tried to do this morning in the USA Today article thread here: http://www.okctalk.com/t4879-usa-today-article-about-hornets.html

I tried using http://www.okctalk.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/577/cat/500/ppuser/974 as was just done here but that didn't work ... inside the paired code in this example is http://www.okctalk.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/577/cat/500/ppuser/974 which, of course, does not point to an image file (in this case, a JPEG file), per se.

I edited the post (when the image didn't appear) to use a generic html link to the image, but I'm supposing that it would have been possible to insert the image in the message itself.

How is that done?

The Gallery has an anti-leech feature that prevents people from linking directly to the images in the photo gallery. I would suggest using your storage space in the Image Gallery.

Ok, I see more clearly now (being one of your more advanced leeches!) :irule:

As it is, in this instance, I was wanting to leech off me myself ... I wasn't where I could upload an image to my own website at the time and it made sense to post the image where I did at the time.

Doug, you should have free access to the Image Vault above http://www.okctalk.com/ihost/ since you are a Premium Member, upload it there first and then you will have the url to cut and paste once you go advanced in your OKCTalk post. The picture icon will allow you to put the address without tags..
