Heretofore, I've had to be content to watch the Bees from afar ... on court ... but, in this game, though we lost, I finally made contact ... my 1st Close Encounter of the Third kind with the , "Wild Thing ... dah dum dah dum ... You make my heart sing ... dah dum dah dum ... You Make Every...thing Groovy ... Wild Thing!", which is to say, the HONEYBEES!

Sure, it's great to see them Bees from afar ... like this:

... but a Close Encounter of the Third Kind is EVER so much better! :tweeted:

I got a hawker ticket in Seciton 111, and, at this game (if it was done before, I'd not noticed it), the Bees were split into 2 groups, one each behind the hoop at each end of the floor. I didn't notice that at first ... but when I did ... I thought that the time had come to begin the investigation that had been prompted by a NOLA poster some time back about "bad backs", and to which I and Malibu accepted the solemn task to conduct our own objective investigation as to malnutrition, etc. Malibu wasn't here, so I reluctantly decided to go it alone, meager though my abilties to embark on this daunting task most certainly are.

I trotted down in Section 111 to the break point to where you couldn't go any further and, there, the collection of Bees were ... would I have enough courage ... would I be embarassed ... are YOU embarassed ... well, I've got a camera, not the greatest, but I have a camera, and I've learned that if you don't ask, you don't have the possiblility of a "Yes" answer. So, emboldened with a duty to present something, SOME EVIDENCE worthy of the NOLA concerns and also worthwhile to OkcTalk, I walked down the isle, with great trepidations ...

The 1st impression was AWESOMELY intimidating ... and I almost quit from my fear and walked back up the isle to my seat ...

I wondered, "How would any of these gorgeous babes ever pay any mind to me, so that I can do my investigation properly?"

All I could think to say was, and I boldly said it to them from my next-to-them-vantage point, "Hey, Bees! How about some pictures for an old geezer like me?"

Not much of a pick-up line, but ... it worked, at least a little! So, here they are ...

First, here's what I said before my blurted out pick-up line ...

... but after my great pick-up line, I got this ... and YES ... THEY WERE LOOKING DIRECTLY AT ME, this dirty old guy that I am ... and what a fine thing THAT was for me! So, for the shy, those who don't think my pick-up line is worth a damn, or whatever, here is what I got when I asked for attention!

OMG ...

(ps ... sorry about the blur ... I was going through a spiritual experience that was making my muscles not be able to hold the camera steady ... is that OK with you, Rev Bob?

I regained my muscle control, just for you guys (gals?) here at OkcTalk! :tweeted: :tweeted: :tweeted:

Now, to be sure, I don't think that this VERY limited foray is anywhere NEAR what is mandated upon us in OKC to properly and thoroughly investigate the concerns by a NOLA poster that the Bees were not properly being cared for ... so THIS ANALYSIS MUST, IT JUST MUST, CONTINUE, so that the NOLA concerns are objectively and throughly evaluated. It is an arduous process. But it must continue.

At least, it's a start.

Doug! I'm sorely disappointed in and surprised at you!!

I thought for sure you would have pole vaulted into the pit for a closer shot! :LolLolLol

What a great seat!

Good for you - if you don't ask - you'll always get a 'no'! I'll bet Mariner wishes he were here!

Look more closely at the pics, Karrie ... see all those guys standing around in navy blazers and tan pants! They are security guards, don't you know, and I promise you that one of them was watching me verrrrry closely ... eye contact was established!

Besides that, I was close enough that a pole vault would not have been necessary ... just climb over a 3 foot separating fence.
