Here is the latest on the new Crest. They are a good local chain with a lot of potential. I say we get their contact info and drum up support for locating a smaller location downtown!

Crest Foods to open new full-service store

Oklahoma-based Crest Foods will open its newest store at 7 a.m. Friday at Rockwell and Hefner.
The store will feature Crest Foods full-service bakery and deli; farm-fresh produce; a full-service, fresh meat department; pharmacy; and more.

Owner Bruce Harroz’s grandfather, also a grocer, used the mantra “stack it high and sell it cheap.” Crest, founded in 1964 by Bruce’s father, Nicky Harroz, still uses that philosophy. The other corporate motto is “rock bottom prices.”

Crest has five stores — at 7212 E Reno and 249 Douglas in Midwest City 2200 SW 15th and Santa Fe in Edmond, 1315 N Eastern in Moore, 4503 NW 23rd in Oklahoma City.

I think the key term here is "smaller location." I just wouldn't want a subruban Crest store, unless maybe it was built west of Stage Center....although I'd rather see loft apartments at that location.

Patrick, I hope so!!!

A smaller urban version of Crest would be great in Deep Duece or Triangle districts!
