City announces it will undertake large-scale survey of citizens

City officials announced today that 3,600 Oklahoma City residents have been selected to participate in a survey measuring citizens’ satisfaction with the city's services.

The survey will be mailed to selected citzens on Nov14. And, officials said, that on that same day, those chosen for the survey will receive a recorded phone message from Mayor Mick Cornett via the City Action Center explaining the purpose of the survey and encouraging them to respond.

The survey asks a number of questions regarding quality of life in Oklahoma City, as well as the quality of city government overall and specific city services.

City officials said the responses from the survey will be used to help Oklahoma City leaders identify areas where services are being performed well and areas where service delivery is in need of improvement.

The survey consists of 24 questions and should take about 10 minutes to complete, officials said, adding that the survey results will be made public in January.

The survey is being conducted for Oklahoma City by Olathe, Kan.-based ETC Institute, Inc., a nationally-known survey firm
