OKC should work with Washington to bring as many Ukrainians to OKC as may want to seek refuge.

Agreed. We also have 1,500 Afghan refugees struggling to get integrated. It's kind of a mess. I wish there were protocols in place to provide better.

We talked about this last night. It would relieve the humanitarian stress off of the countries they are fleeing too.

Don't you want to make sure they're properly vetted?

I have to hand it to the Ukrainians, they are giving the Russians more than they bargained for. Putin thought they could walk right over Ukraine. Boy was he wrong.

Since most Ukrainians have fled to Poland, a predominantly Catholic country, a donation to CRS is most welcome.

I completely agree. My wife and I would be willing to house some if necessary.

On a somewhat related note, the US needs to alter its immigration policies while we are at it. This Atlantic article is concerning about the population trends happening here. Our stagnant population growth as a nation is not just due to declining births, as this piece details. This is an utterly fascinating read.
