Going to find myself in T-town quite a bit this spring. I find the overall food scene here in the City to be better, but what restaurant do you hit there because you can't get a dish or experience its equal here in the City?

Siegi's Sausage Factory... Get a Sausage Sampler, because their sausage is so good even the German restaurant in OKC serves them, my favorite is the Kasewurst.

I enjoy the Jagerschnitzel so much I've never tried any other entree on the menu and I sub spaetzle for the fries. I did have a bite of my fiance's Holzefeller on my last visit and it was an interesting, and tasty, sandwich.

And if there are any left.... Don't pass up a Snickerdoodle.... They are for sale out in the grocery area but they go fast.

Freddie's Steakhouse in Sapulpa and Lone Wolf in downtown and the TU area.

Some of my favorites:
Downtown: Peacemaker, La Tertulia, Amelia's, Sissourou's, Chimera, Lowood, The French Hen
Riverview: Tacos x Mezcal, Dalessandro's, FarmBar, BurnCo (sadly this location recently had a fire so it may be several months before they reopen - great BBQ)
Cherry Street: Palace Cafe, Nola's, Smoke, Prossimo, Kilkenny's
Brookside: Oren, Ol' Vine, Keo, Blue Moon
Utica Square: Stonehorse Cafe, Wild Fork, Queenie's

Mother Road Market on 11th has some good options all in one place, also Gambill's right next door. The Sand Bar is right on the river close to downtown, not the best food but a fun setting especially at sunset.

"Uniquely Tulsa" places are Coney I-Lander (downtown and Brookside locations are the best), Ike's Chili, Claud's Hamburgers, Weber's Root Beer and The Spudder. Also have to throw a shout out to an amazing little British pub tucked into a neighborhood in South Tulsa called The White Lion.

Wow that would be a nice option to have.

Our best downtown is "The Vault" occupying old drive thru bank building, Sisserou's for Caribbean, Atlas Grill for breakfast, Nola's and Smoke, Laffa for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern (our best favorite), Antoinette's Baking Company in the evening when they put out their fresh baked pies (or anytime they're open for sweet goodies), and agree with BG918 for the rest.

FarmBar was also damaged in the BurnCo fire.... Last I heard they would only be closed 3-4 weeks.

Yes White River is awesome. Some of the best scallops I’ve ever had including trips to the coasts.

This is pretty funny and kinda true lol. When I mention Oncue all my tulsa friends act like theres some massive disparity between the two but if you took the logos off I’d have trouble telling them apart haha.

^lol, yes. A gas station is a gas station to me, and all the modern chains are basically the same.

To answer the thread, most of my favorites have been mentioned, but to be more specific:
Brunch at Tacos x Mezcal is surprisingly good. My other favorite brunch spot is the Vault downtown.
The shrimp rolls at Peacemaker are a go-to for me. Their shrimp is flown in fresh from the gulf, they bake their own amazing bread, and the house chips are awesome. The lobster roll is an experience if you want to throw down some money.
Nola's has this amazing shrimp gri-gri dish that I just absolutely crave every now and then.
Kilkenny's is the best pub in the state.

El Arepaso Venezuelan Cafe in south Tulsa (91st & I think Yale). You can get some good Colombian food around OKC, but I haven't found anything that specifically does Venezuelan. Arepas in Colombia are served differently than arepas in Venezuela, and that's what gets it for me.

While this isn't necessarily unique to Tulsa, the first "wet burrito" I had was at El Rio Verde in Tulsa and was fantastic. I believe we have some options here in OKC, but that was the first time I had heard of them.

This state has good Steak, BBQ, Burgers, Mexican, Tex Mex (though I take great issue with the so called "queso" in the OKC area and Ted's is terrible), Pub Food, Sushi and many types of Asian food everywhere. For the most part I will leave all that out.

It sounds like Tulsa has a much better seafood scene than OKC. I’ll need to explore more up there. Only been to Bonefish Grille.

I'll second that - their pig ears and duck tongues are pretty good. :) Szechuan Story is another that's mentioned as truly authentic and very good. We haven't been yet, but plan to go shortly.

Also, this may get me shot but both myself (from okc and live in Tulsa) and my great friend (worked in tulsa for 5 years and is now in OKC) both agree that the OKC bbq scene is very mediocre compared to Tulsa. Obviously we love burn co up here, but 1907 and oakhart and the old school Albert G'd are all great. I've yet to go anywhere in okc that I'd want to spend 30 minutes in line for.

When was the last time you ate BBQ in OKC? It's seen a pretty significant shift with Edge Craft and Clark Crew in town and there are a few others around that are putting out a good product compared to 5 years ago.

Any news on the BurnCo location that had the fire? The food is good at the other location but I just loved that building they moved into from their original location.

No trip to Tulsa was complete for me without a stop at BurnCo, Seigi's for schnitzel and to stock up on sausages before they were available in OKC, and if time warranted Nelson's Buffeteria.
