Is anybody aware of who the owner is of the parking lot that separates scissor tail park and the myriad gardens? Are there any plans for turning this lot into something? Would be really ideal to extend the gardens to scissor tail and have one big connecting green space. I’m sure they make a lot on parking there, but it looks just awful.

Welcome to OKCTalk! The parking lot you're referring to is the old Ford dealership parking lot. Unfortunately, there are no plans for developing it in the near term. It will happen eventually, but it's a waiting game.

I believe the owners are a partnership between Hall Capital and Bob Howard. I think Hall Capital is a legacy company of Ford legend Fred Jones and his enterprises. The Hall brothers are Mr. Jones grandsons IIRC. And Mayor Holt works, or used to work, for them.

I think Mr. Howard and the Hall interests wound up with some real estate partnerships around town as a result of Fords short lived “Auto Collection” experiment of the early 2000s.
